Tasmanian Irrigation is delighted to today inform landowners in the South East that all restrictions on irrigation water have been lifted – effective immediately.

Interruptions to supply and the prolonged dry conditions resulted in temporary restrictions being imposed on the South East Irrigation Schemes Stages Two and Three late in 2019.

Tasmanian Irrigation sincerely thanks all irrigators for their understanding and cooperation in managing the available supply during recent months.

Forecasts of a wetter than average winter are widely welcomed to replenish irrigation scheme and on-farm storage levels.

Tasmanian Irrigation is continuing to progress a two-staged approach to ensure a reliable and cost-effective irrigation water supply for irrigators in the region.
