Tasmanian Civil Contractors Federation 2018 Earth Awards

The demolition of the former State Government office building at 10 Murray Street and the construction of the latest irrigation scheme for Tasmanian Irrigation were joint winners in one of the major categories of the Tasmanian Civil Contractors Federation (CCF) Earth Awards for 2018. It’s the 25th year The Earth Awards have been presented – recognising Excellence in Civil Construction.

The Judges couldn’t separate the demolition of 10 Murray Street by Hazell Bros. – describing it as a difficult, innovative complex project, and the construction of the Melrose Dam at Cranbrook on the east coast by Hall Construction which they said represented environmental, physical challenges and future proofing supply of water to industries.
