Tasmanian Irrigation is a State-owned Company that develops, owns and operates irrigation schemes in Tasmania, in accordance with sound commercial practice. Our mission is to deliver water where and when it’s needed to support sustainable agricultural growth in Tasmania.
We own and operate 19 irrigation schemes across the state, and we have $1.3 billion of new irrigation projects in development. We deliver water to our customers at the lowest sustainable price, while responsibly and sustainably managing our water resources, scheme assets and the environment.
Tasmanian Irrigation has the capacity to deliver 156,000 megalitres of high surety water each year, irrigating more than 133,000 hectares of land. For every 1,000 megalitres of water delivered, there is up to $3 million in on-farm investment, up to $7 million in annual economic uplift, and up to 30 direct and indirect jobs created.
All schemes developed and operated by Tasmanian Irrigation are economically viable, environmentally sustainable, have strong community endorsement, are designed to last at least 100 years and deliver water at an average reliability of more than 95 per cent per annum.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and detail-focused professional to join TI in a dynamic Administration Support Officer role.
Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Affairs, you will provide coordination, administrative and content support across multiple areas of the business. This role is integral to ensuring smooth operations across communications, events, stakeholder activity and corporate administration.
You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers, supporting the delivery of high-quality communications, events and business activities.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Key to this role will be your ability to:
Administration & Coordination
- Manage the Communications inbox, triaging requests and coordinating responses
- Maintain registers, content schedules and reporting frameworks
- Support records management, filing and document control
- Coordinate stock, ordering and distribution of corporate materials
Communications & Content Support
- Assist with Mailchimp campaigns, website updates and social media content
- Draft, proofread and format internal and external communications
- Maintain content plans and support reporting on communications activity
- Coordinate creative suppliers (designers, photographers, printers)
Corporate Publications & Events
- Support delivery of publications such as Corporate Plans and Annual Reports
- Coordinate content contributions, approvals and production timelines
- Assist with event coordination including venues, catering and logistics
- Maintain records of event costs, suppliers and outcomes
General Administrative Support
- Coordinate meetings, agendas, documentation and action tracking
- Arrange travel, accommodation and catering
- Support purchasing, invoice processing and supplier coordination
